We are so grateful to our friends for making this show a success. While a few have gone, the remaining are hanging at The Tejido Collective in Carmel by the Sea. (more pictures to come!)

Part of the Desert Series, this painting captures the beauty of the saline water, colorful minerals and deep sky at the lowest point in Death Valley and North America at 282 ft. below sea level.
Badwater Basin 24”x18” oil on canvas.
So much of what we see in the desert today, is evidence of the way the land was in the past. The dried out washes where water once rushed. And the bones left behind from the animals that used to eat the grasses that lived on that water. I left the canvas bare around this old bull skull to emphasize the barren aspect of the desert.
Bull Skull 24”x24” Oil on canvas. Framed float style with aged Western Red Cedar and reclaimed leather
Part of the Desert series, this gulch looks Northeast across Death Valley. The rock shapes here still patiently hold shape to honor the memory of water flows. The rock’s surfaces reflect the penetrating heat, and the wash shimmers where you would expect to find water. Looking out from this space, it is easy to imagine water rushing down into the expanse of seemingly barren rock.
Gower Gulch 24”x18” Oil on canvas.
Part of the Desert series, this lizard was caught trying to hide in Anza-Borrego State Park. The horns and spikes across it’s backside drew me in.
20”x16” Oil on canvas.
A landscape capturing the deep browns and reds that characterized the hills and fields near the homesteading site of Josie Bassett Morris in Box Canyon, outside Dinosaur National Monument, Utah.
Painting is framed with oiled hemlock, floater style wood frame, with d-rings and wire. Ready to hang.
