All of our interactions are two fold. We interact with other physical bodies, and the spirits that drive them. This Fox is a messenger spirit. It's physical body appears to us as the wild animal seen in "death before rebirth". It's spirit is a conduit through the veil that separates the physical and spirit worlds. Because Malachi is not merely a spirit, but a projection of the thoughts of the great dreamer. The great dreamer is responsible for all of creation, which will all vanish upon their awakening. When Malachi speaks, it is the voice of the dreamer.
